The plan Mason had come up with was quite simple and worked well. The only thing is, I don't believe Sam will be happy with this. She didn't have anything to do. If I know Sam, who is a lot like me, she'll want something to do. I could be wrong though. It's less likely that I am. I stood next to Mason ready to go, and waiting for his next instruction. The only reason I really listen to him is because he's the oldest and he kind of reminds me of my brother Kyle. And so I waited.

<<Allie
Oh boy!! I can't wait to work with Adam. Maybe now I can ask him what's wrong and see if I can help any. I love going out on missions with the others. I find them kind of fun, other than the whole killing part. I know we have to but it puts them in danger. I'm not particularly fond of danger. I turn around and find my medical bag off the shelf. It has everything I could possibly need for any emergency possible. Inside was also my steele, which I like to think of as some sort of magical marker thing. You draw a mark onto someone's arm to symbolize some certain trait, like for example heal, and it does just that. And so on and so forth. Every shadowhunter has one of their own. Whether passed onto them from family or just one individual one that'a there's. Mine is an individual. It's a light golden color and covered in swirls.
I have not actually needed to be marked, but I have marked others for healing. I've never needed to be marked on account that I don't fight. I put the bag on over my shoulder and place my steele in my pocket for emergency use. I walked over towards Adam slowly and stood next to him ready to go and awaiting the next order.

Matt>>
Everyone was ready to go including me and Allie of course. I fastened the bag of bows over my shoulder and placed one onto my crossbow, ready at any time needed. What Mason had me doing was not hard. I had fought many forsaken before and my aim was quite exceptional. I was ready for anything that was coming at me. Sam was the only one without a job and if I knew her she would probably complain to Mason about it.
Sam wasn't bad she just has a bit of a temper. I, myself, know how to deal with tempers like hers. My father used to have one as well. He would always slam stuff around and break things when he got mad. The best way to normally calm them down is to leave them alone by their self for a bit and let them cool off. Then when it comes time to approach them, you have to do it in a soft manner. Sam was also the only one who knew that I liked Allie. I made her promise she would never tell anyone though. I didn't want Allie to find out. It's too risky. I thought that it would scare her away because I can tell she feels comfortable around me, something like that would make it awkward. And I trust Sam to keep it. When I become frustrated or just wanna talk about Allie I normally go to her. She's always good at listening. She inputs her opinions in now an again, but mostly she just listens and nods.
Most people think she mean and too honest, but I like her honesty. I would rather someone tell me the truth than to lie to me. I stand on the other side of Mason and prepare myself for his next move. All he has to do is say the word and we'll leave. We heard the forsaken sighting was in the woods, near a cabin. There were a couple of people who were camping that reported a couple big tracks and earthquakes by their cabin. Supposedly the earthquakes were due to the forsaken stomping around out there. Normally they don't show any evidence for humans to notice, but this one must be a younger one, meaning he could cause more damage to the humans. Oh great.

Adam couldn't help but smile at Allie. She made it too impossible not to. She always so kind, caring. Just the way she carried herself every day was enough to cheer you up. Adam knew this first hand. He reached out to take the muffin from her hand. During that brief instant, he felt an odd jolt of... something. The exact feeling was indescribable. With that, for those few seconds, he had completely forgotten about his nightmares.
And just like that, it was all gone. The memories flooded through his mind once more. However, he'd do his best not to show it. "Good idea. Thanks Allie." he replied, taking a bite into the muffin. Allie typically did stuff like this for the group. Even though Jules, one of their greatest attributes, clearly had no tolerence for the girl, Allie was determined to please everyone. Adam admired this quality in her, and knew exactly what to expect when the taste of the muffin hit his tounge.
It was soft, chewy, with a perfect burst of flavor that could bring a smile to anyone's face. "Mmmm." he said, trying to make it obvious that he was impressed with her baking. "These are delicious." he added, his smile staying planted on his face. Hopefully, this would add to the whole "nothing is wrong with me" thing that he was trying to play.

Sam rolled her eyes slightly at Adam, before taking a quick glance at Matt. Sam had never had a real crush before. Well, not someone who she liked that could actually tolerate her. Matt was the exception. She usually didn't enjoy the whole nice-guy complex. However, on him, it just... worked. Sam could have scoffed. It didn't take a genius to tell that he was in love with Allie. In fact, if you want to know the whole story, Matt likes Allie, Adam likes Allie, Allie likes Adam. And no, they didn't tell Sam that. She just knew. They didn't do a very good job of hiding it. Instead, she rolled her eyes, pretending not to care. Instead, she turned to Jules for a moment.
Jules was the only other person in the group who really understood Sam. Of course, Adam tried to. Allie pretended to. And Mason acted like he did. But Jules was the only one with a slightly similar personality. The only person she could truly relate to. Before she could say anything, probably something complimenting her knife, Mason opened his mouth to speak.

Mason looked around the room at his little peoples. He was the leader. The group had never taken some sort of official vote, but it just fit. He was the oldest. The bravest. The strongest. The most expirienced. Plus, he just had a good head for strategy. The people could stand to listen to him, no matter what. It was odd. Even Sam, the rebel of the group, would listten to him. He noticed that everyone was readying their weapons. Jules had her long blade. Sam had her twin daggers... and well, her full arsenol of knives. Matt had his crossbow. Adam had his sword. Mason had his bowstaff. Excellent. They were all ready.
"Okay. So, we've been asked to take up a simple forsaken assignment. There's only one of them... as far as we know," he began, his voice strong, powerful, just like the rest of his presence. He was thinking back to the full report he had recieved the night before. "This shouldn't take too long. Because we don't really need the full team, I worked out a strategy." he explained. He had been thinking about this all night, but hadn't perfected anythign yet. So for now, he was going off the top of his head. He took a bite of his muffin quickly, turning to Adam and Allie.
"Allie, you're going with us, just staying back in case someone gets hurt. Better to be safe than sorry. Because staying back without a weapon is dangerous, Adam is staying back with you. Got it?" he said, turning to Sam and Jules. "Sam and Jules, you'll double-team the forsaken from opposite sides, Sam going left and Jules going right. I'll come up from the center and provide for a decent distraction before Matt takes him out with a neck shot." he said. It was an extremely last minute strategy, but he did his best to sound serious. "Any questions?"

As the rest of them chatted among themselves, I silently went on to find my weapon. I always prefer the long blades. Less aiming, more slicing. Not that I'm not good at aiming, but it's just quicker that way. I went on to sharpen my blade and ignore the other's constant babble. I believe we were supposed to be hunting a forsaken today. Those big gigantic ugly things that look like giant trolls if you ask me. Their quite easy to take down too. You just have to know the right spot to hit.
Out of all the people here the only ones who have any sense, other than me, is Sam and Mason. They seem to get it, unlike the rest of them. I consider the rest of them not worthy of my time. They might consider me hard and mean, but that's the only way anyone will survive. It's survival of the fittest when it comes to being a shadowhunter.

<<Allie

There he was. Normally he looks happier, but today I could see it in his eyes and all over his face, that something was wrong I just couldn't tel what though. I was going to make a reason to find out though. Adam is a real good friend of mine. He's always sweet and so adorable. He's great at playing guitar too. I love listening to him play whenever I get the chance to. The thing I noticed when I first saw him though was that smile and those eyes. Their beautiful. Both combined are even more adorable. I wish I could just hug him and squeeze him to death. Well not literally to death, but like a big gigantic bear hug.
I had almost forgotten that I had made muffins until he pointed them out. "Oh yes, I made them for everyone so that you guys would get something to eat before you left for the hunt today. Don't want you guys fighting on an empty stomach." I smiled and handed one over to Adam. When he grabbed it our hands touched for the slightest of moments and I got butterflies. I quickly pulled my hand away and started handing out the rest of the muffins.

Matt>>

Everyone was here now finally. Once we all arrived I took a seat at the desk and fixed up my crossbow for the hunt. I watched Allie walk around the room and hand out the muffins she had made the night before. She was always so sweet and caring. She never thought about herself, always about others. When she finally made her way over to me I took the muffin and bit into it. I never realized how hungry I was until I finally ate.
The muffin was delicious. She was always good at baking and cooking. She was kind of considered the mother of the group. She wasn't in charge though, she just took care of us like a mom would her children. I decided to focus back on my bow. I set up the arrows, making sure each one was fastened correctly and placed into the bag. Today's hunt shouldn't take them long at all, unless there's more than one of them. The only one who wasn't going was Allie, she wasn't fighting but she was going to stay in the back a bit just in case something happens. If only I could just tell her how I feel. I just don't believe she likes me back the same way I like her. She probably just sees me as a big brother to her. I sigh quietly to myself then face Mason, the leader of our group, and await his instructions.

Riley is the ever-so-lovely little brother of the one and only Shiloh. Unfortunately, he is not a splice of any kind, remaining outside the majority of the story. He comes to visit Shiloh while in all of this mess and will play a greater role later on. I hope. Until then, enjoy these gifs I found of his face claim!

Jon Cozart, you are the most perfect person on the internet.

I can't stop.

Seriously. I need help.

Okay. Okay. I'm done. And that's not just because I've used all the good gifs. 'Kay.

They had been waiting longer than they had once expected. The line of limb, nearly lifeless bodies along the wall had shortened respectably from forty-four young men, to a mere eleven.
“00-033.” a computerized voice called over the intercom.
Each and every boy in the room winced at the sound of the lab doors springing to life. Stepping out of them were four men in lab coats. Their faces were nearly impossible to read -- completely wiped of emotion. They scattered to the four corners of the room, sending the majority of potential test subjects into the cold, metallic walls.
“You know the drill.” called one of the men. At that, each individual in the room knew exactly what to do. With that, they rolled up their left sleeve, revealing a five-digit number along their forearm.
The next few minutes were silent. No one dared to speak as they were being checked. The last person stupid enough to do that was shot on the spot.
Finally, the men found who they were looking for. In the furthest corner from the door, there was a tall young man. His blonde hair was matted to his head with sweat, and he didn’t look particularly perky. The tallest of the men, who rivaled the height of the teenage boy, crept over to him with a smile. He recited his number aloud.
“You’re next.” he muttered. There was a faint look of amusement on the faces of the men.
The boy said nothing, which was odd. Most people practically fell to ground and begged for their life when being called upon. However, this boy showed no fear. In fact, he showed no emotion whatsoever.    The room erupted with mutters and hushed conversation. The boy couldn’t make out any words, but knew by the tone that they weren’t good. He clinched his teeth, but nodded at the man in the lab coat.
The man grabbed his arm and gave a light tug. The boy followed. Soon, they were no longer in the waiting room. They were in an entirely different section of the building. It was unfamiliar to the boy. The walls were completely lines with metal. Not a single window existed to provide light. The only source of light was the flickering overhead LED light that looked like something out of a horror movie.
“Are you going to say anything?” the man asked him,.
The boy replied only with a shake of his head.
The man sighed and shrugged his shoulders. However, he carried him forward. Behind him, the boy could hear the indistinct chatter of the men behind him. He managed to pick out the words “Crazy” and “Dead” from the conversation. He rolled his eyes, but said nothing.
In a matter of moments, the group was standing outside of a solid, metal door. A sudden rush of fear came over the boy. Frankly, he was unaware of what happened behind that door. From what he had gathered, it couldn’t be good. One you go in, you don’t come out. a voice reminded him. He had been told this since the day he arrived here. He casually looked over at his escort.
“I hope you’re not looking for an explanation. That information is classified.” the man said with a grin. He tapped the door once.
“Send him in.” a shaky, somewhat disturbing voice called from inside. The door barely moved, leaving a tiny crack to show that it was open.
The boy shot a look at the man next to him. He means me. he inquired. The man smiled, amusement in his voice as he said, “Good luck, kid.”

Once inside, the boy was not impressed. This scary doctor figure he’d been told to fear only stood a few inches above five feet. His head was bald and his face was plagued with wrinkles. He was incredibly skinny and it surprised the boy that he could even hold a test tube. In fact, if the boy hadn’t been starved over the past three days, he would have insisted that he could fight this guy off.
The room was a bit warmer than the rest of the building. Like most other rooms here, there were no windows, the walls were made of the same chrome, metallic material, and there was an tangy stench of blood. Along the back wall, there was a long counter that held many tools. The boy couldn’t determine all of them, but managed to identify several test tubes and a single syringe. In the center of the room, there was a single lab table, equipped with thick leather straps at the four corners.
A bolt of unease and panic came over the boy as the man closed the door and crept toward him.
“You can relax,” the man began. “It hurts less if you relax.” he finished. He sighed, walking over to the back wall and fiddling with the many objects along the counter. “Have a seat.”
The boy sat on the lab table, refusing to lay down.
“I’m Doctor Frank Wysession.” the man said. It was more of a statement than a greeting. He had done this far to many times to be diplomatic with each and every test subject. “This will not be fun for you.” he began, preparing the syringe and cleaning the needle. He went on to explain, “This is a serum that our scientists have managed to forge with the DNA of a Komodo Dragon.”
The boy’s eyes widened. The whole time he was here, he never understood the purpose of the experimentations going on. Now he knew. Cross species genetics. He gasped slightly, jumping from his seat in a desperate attempt to escape.
Suddenly, the four men from before flooding into the room, grabbing the boy’s arms and legs.
“Bind him.” Dr. Wysession said calmly.
The men obeyed, throwing the weakened teenager onto the lab table and wrapping the leather straps around his wrists and ankles. The boy heard the chuckle of a single man before they were ushered out of the room.
“I knew you would try to escape. Your kind always thinks they can get out in time.” Dr. Wysession said. “I’m disappointed in you.”
The boy struggled, using every last ounce of his strength to fight this. He just knew he could break free. There had to be a way. Wysession chuckled. Was he amused by this boy’s pain? His frustration? His agony? His fear?
“And just like those before you, we don’t expect you to survive the night.” he laughed. He neared the boy with pure joy and amusement in his eyes and a syringe in hand. “This may hurt a little.” he warned as the needle pierced the boy’s skin.
   And then, everything went black.

>>  Rhett Donovan  |  Twenty  |  Wolf  |  FC: Max Irons  <<

Rhett is the oldest one here. Though he wasn't the original survivor, he easy asserts himself as the strongest. Theoretically, it's true. He leads the inner rebellion, using his fangs to make the others listen to him. He controls others with a combination of intimidation, confindence, strength, and fear. It works out for him and most of the experiments respect him. His best friend is Alec and Colette is in love with him. She just wont admit it to the world. It's not hard to see that she's developed a crush. Shiloh isn't a huge fan of him, but still considers him a friend.

Rhett is mutated with a grey wolf, giving him excellent leadership skills. On top of that, they highly increased his strength and senses of smell and hearing. He has very short, thick retractable claws and sharp, blunt teeth. Overall, he's still fairly dangerous.

This is Colette. Colette is a very... intereasting individual. Being one of the younger mutants here, she feels the undying need to proove herself to everyone. She's quite capable, but we'll get to that later. For now, you should know that she's French; At times, her accent is thicker than others. She's very proud of her lineage and herself, which is why she introduces herself by her full name rather than just her first. Eventually, Shiloh learns to love her.

Colette is mutated with the DNA of a cheetah. Because of this, she has the ability to run incredibly fast. However, her most noteable mutations are probably her retractable claws. She's incredibly dangerous when it comes to whipping them out. However, unless she shows them to you, you'll never know they're there. She compulsively bites her nails to keep them hidden. They cannot stay completely sheathed in her fingertips, so she bites off the excess so she doesn't claws everyone she touches.

This is Carson. Carson was the first survivor of the experimentation process, and is considered to be one of the strongest. However, unlike his best friend, Rhett, he is not highly fear among the other experiments. He is respected, but not feared. Carson Blackthorn is the first person Shiloh meets in the institution.

Carson is mutated with a Komodo Dragon, a very large, powerful reptile. From the mutation, Carson retained scales along his back, arms, legs, and feet. These are the only visible scales, however, they exist everywhere. They are practically bullet proof, so good luck beating him in a fist fight.

>>  Shiloh Armstrong  |  Eighteen  |  Golden Eagle  |  FC: Kaya Scodelario  <<
This is Shiloh, the main character of our lovely little story. I was going to give her a middle name, but figured that could remain a mystery for now. You'll get over it. So, it's just Shiloh. Shiloh Armstrong. Let us begin with the explaining!

Shiloh was born in Detroit, eighteen years ago. Two years later, her brother, Riley, was born. She lived with her brother, and her parents, Jane and Peter Armstrong, until her mom took off when she was six. Turns out she was a drug addict or something. Shiloh got over it after a little while. Shortly after, her father's business took off and the family became fairly wealthy. However, it meant that their dad was out of town a lot, leaving Shiloh and Riley to themselves. Shiloh quickly took responsibility for her little brother.
Shiloh didn't stay the responsible type. She started hanging out with theives when she was thirteen and started stealing the year after. Turns out, she's pretty good at it. Of course, she tells Riley that it's wrong and has managed to keep him on a decent track for the time being. They treat it like a joke for her sake now. Eventually, her mistakes catch up to her when the cops catch her. You'll find out more later.

Shiloh was spliced with a golden eagle, which gave her wings. She is the first avian the scientists have ever created, and she's not very good with her flying abilities. She can fly, just not for very long distances. She's also incapable of flying someone else over to somewhere. They weigh her down too much and her wings aren't that strong yet. However, with training, she has the potential to be more useful in the future. Other than that, her mutations give her eagle-like sight. Her aim is nearly perfect now and she doesn't miss anything.

Here, I shall post my character faceclaims, personalities, mutations, and so on as I develop them. This is for an original story in which I shall be posting in my very own "LoudGhozt's Writing" board. Feel free to read. Frankly, this topic is just a place for readers to get some sort of reference to the appearance of each character.

P.S. The fact that I use faceclaims shoudln't bother anyone. I do not take credit for any pictures used on this topic. The writing, on the other hand, is mine. So, take it and perish.
