Name >> Meet Mason. Mason's name is a particularly common name that most girls find irrisistable. He's been called May only once before. That guy never spoke to him again. Mason hates it when people try to shorten his name. It's just Mason. Unless you call him by his last name, which he approves of some times. But it's not preferred. His middle name is Anthony, which was his father's name. This only makes him hate it more. You'll learn why in a bit. His last name is Sullivan... kinda. It's supposed to be Woods. However, he abandoned his father's name and legally changed it to his mother's name after he turned eighteen.
Age >> Mason is the oldest of the shadowhunter group. He's twenty-one. However, he likes being the oldest. The others are like little siblings to him. He looks after them as if they really are family. Being twenty-one, he's a heavy drinker at times, but, he's not an angry drunk.
Romance >> Mason tried to avoid the whole romance thing. I mean, the girls crawl all over him for some reason, but he'd rather be with his friends. They're cooler anyway. He's had a few girlfriends. Most of the relationships ended with him saying "just leave me alone you overly clingy meatsack!" With that, he developed a reputation for being a player. Of course, he's not a player. He just hates it when people refuse to leave him alone. Right now, he has no crush or girlfriend. We'll see how long that lasts.

Skills >> Mason is strong. Like, super strong. It's almost superhuman and horrifying to anyone who doesn't know about it. Mason's huge, which plays to his advantage in many situations, being extremely muscular and reaching a height of 6'5". His strength helps with many things in his line of work. Hand-to-hand combat is his best bet. However, he does have a weapon of choice. He bowstaff. Not sharp, but just as deadly if you know what you're doing. He's also proficient with knives and blades as well as a bow if need be. Being the oldest, he's the most expirience shadowhunter and the most well-rounded when it comes to weapons.
Weaknesses >> Mason's personality is a weakness. He's reckless with no concern for his own safety. He doesn't have much physical weakness. He's not the quickest and is sometimes oblivious. Aside from these minor details, his personality and attachment to his friends are his only weaknesses. He'll gladly die for any one of them.

Personality >> Mason is a fairly complex guy. First off, he's funny. Or, at least he tries to be. He's sarcastic and arrogant in front of people he barely knows. This usually sends new possible friends away. Good. Mason likes the friends he has now and that's it! He doesn't do well with changes like that. Of course, within his circle of friends, his sarcasm and conciet do not fade away completely. But it's funny to them... usually. Occasionaly, Sam or Julia will hit him on the shoulder or something, but no big deal.
Within his special get-away-from-my-friends-their-mine circle, Mason is very territorial. Protective. He'll do just about anything to keep them safe. He's always the one to volunteer to go first when investigating something. Always the one to step in front of them when someone's about the throw a punch. Always the one to threaten the new guy for talking down to them. Mason is a bit insane when it comes to how protective he is.
Mason, like most guys, is fairly immature. He likes making gay jokes or taking things in a somewhat perverted way. He tries to be funny for his friends, which sometimes doesn't end well for him. He genuinely tries to act like the older brother of the group. He may as well be that already. He's the oldest. The strongest. The most experienced. And, he;s been through the most crap. He doesn't share his past with his friends and probably wont unless he's forced to. Why make them feel sorry for him? It's demeaning.
Mason is possibly the most daredevilish, impulsive, reckless son of a biscuit ever born. He has absolutely no reguard for his own safety, and little self control. When something needs to be done, he does it. When he wants to do something, he does it. He also has an incredibly addictive personality. Once he develops a taste for something, it never goes away. Which explains his love for roller coasters and cliff diving. It just works. But, because of this trait, you know he's brave. Selfless. Never underestimate his chivalry.
History >> Mason was born on August 15, 1992. That day marked the beginning of the worst years of his father's life. His parents were never married, forcing him through the irritating child custody battles. He was always incredibly attached to his mother. She was the gentler, more kind of his two parents. His father, on the other hand, was cruel, crushing every dream, every hope, every thought Mason ever had. His father was incredibly abusive. Mason theorizes that he was angry because his mother got more time with him. His father made a habit of beating him, insulting him. And not just the typical "you're ugly" types of insults. He made a routine of calling him worthless, pathetic, weak, and so on. Eventually, his mother found out, walking in on a beating session to find an unconsious, bleeding Mason on the floor. Appauled, he fought back, getting herself killed in the process. Eventually, Mason managed to pull himself away from his father. He was seventeen at the time. He managed to avoid his father while in the institute, protecting himself in every way possible. Possibly due to fear, Mason spent the next four years in the most intense and advanced training he would ever face. This had made him into the perfect shadowhunter you see before you.
Other >> Mason, though he usual mocks jewlery on men, wears a ring that was passed down in his mother's family. It's gold with a peridot gem in the center.

Name >> Meet Adam. His name is relatively common, but as lovely as ever. It's so simple, meaning man. Oh well. His middle name is Chase, also a fairly common name. His last name is Blackwell, which you hear a lot when talking of witches. However, Adam would not appreciate you bringing that up. So, now, you've been introduced to the ever-amazing Adam Chase Blackwell.
Age >> Adam is eighteen, born on March 31st.
Romance >> Adam, being a bit socially awkward, hasn't had many girlfriends. He's a bit more closed off about the girls he likes and gets nerveous a bit too easily. He's had a few girlfriends, but the relationships usually didn't end to well. It wasn't like they fought or anything, they just got sick of him over time. At the moment, he has no crush and is single.

Skills >> Uh... He's good at... math? Overall, Adam has a realatively normal physicality. He's strong enough to handle himself and can run a mile if he wants to. However, he has no extrordinary physical attributes. Aside from that, Adam is pretty smart, being ecspecially skilled in mathematics and chemistry. He's also a well-rounded musician. He doesn't sing in front of people, but is skilled with a guitar and knows a few chords on piano. If we're talking about weapons, Adam's specialty rests with the sword and any large blade. But preferably swords. They're just so lovely.
Weaknesses >> As stated above, Adam is not noteably strong or fast. He also has a hard time sitting still. Therefore, reading a book every now and then is something he'll probably never do without being forced. Also, his aim isn't good. Using ranged weapons is... just no. He'll kill himself with a bow before he kills a demon.

Personality >> Adam is the not-so-typical adorable shy guy of the group. He's quiet, exceptionally quiet when things get awkward or tense. He's the type of person to hide in the background for a while. He doesn't speak unless spoken to. Well, this is how he is around people he isn't too comfortable around. It doesn't take much to make him comfortable. Starting the occasional conversation with him will make him forever loyal.
If you manage to break through his calm, cool, and collected exterior, you'll find that Adam is still fairly closed off. He's not the type of person to burden other people with his problems. His confusion about his father being one of them. He likes to help people, not put any of his crap on their shoulders. He does his best to advise his freinds and help them in any way possible. He's the type of person you can call at three in the morning for a ride home. He'll never turn you down. He's one of those people who just can't say "no."
Overall, whether you know him really well or not, you'll notice that Adam is a nice guy. Always has been. He's very responsible and has a strong work ethic when he's needed. He was known for letting people copy off of his homework in algebra. It's not like it was going to hurt anything. Besides, this kept the bullies off his back. He was always smart about avoiding that kind of stuff. However, he wasn't opposed to standing up to bullies. If he saw anyone being picked on, he'd take up for them immediately. They usually left the kids alone after that. You may not notice it upon first glance, but Adam is incredibly brave when he needs to be.
Adam is actually incredibly nerdy. Not like some irritating straight 'A' student, but more of a sci-fi geek. He absolutely loves Star Wars and everything to do with space. He's not afriad to make pointless X-men references that nobody else will get. He's also been seen wearing a "√-1   2^3  ∑ π  and it was delicious" shirt around the town. He doesn't exactly hide how much of a geek he is... or his love for chess. Wow, he's wierd.
Once you finally get him to open up to you, you'll see how understanding he is about everything. He tries his best to be sensitive toward other people, gentle if need be. He typically doesn't show that something is bothering him and either shrugs it off, or makes it into a joke about himself. He's an amazing listener. No matter how annoying your story is and how much he wants to say "Suck it up, you pansy!" he keeps quiet. He tries to offer help or advice to make you feel better. Because of this, Adam is officially the most overly-friend-zone'd guy on the planet. He finds this irritating, and it's something he hates about himself. However, he tries not to show it and to sigh at home alone. He's occasionally been known to turn his pain into song. It's typically something soft of the guitar. Mostly, it's instrumentals. However, he has written a few lyrical pieces before.
Despite being eighteen years old, Adam tends to be extremely childish. He'll do stupid things just for the fun of it, as long as it doesn't involving drinking or drugs. He'll lick the gym floor on a dare, try to convince a total stranger that he knows them, and so on. But offer him a beer, and he's out of here. This goes toward his responsible trait.
If you get really close to Adam, which has only happened a few times in his life, he becomes incredibly loyal, never leaving your side. He also becomes extremely protective. He's not the type of person to show that he's jealous, but if they do anything that even looks like they might hurt you, he'll destroy them. He also has the tendency to be fairly impulsive. Sometimes, he can't quite control himself. And then, things happen. Things that can completely ruin his realtionships with anyone.
Despite his bad qualities,  you'll find that it's almost impossible to hate Adam. He's too amazing xD
History >> Like everyone here, Adam was born a concious Shadowhunter. He was always aware of what he was supposed to be and trained as requested. His parents expect too much out of him. They can be extremely hard on the boy, ecspecially considering what he's been through.
When Adam was thirteen, before he met his lovely little circle of friends, he had one good friend. His name was Jake. He and Jake had been close for years. They trained together. They hunted together. They may as well have been brothers. However, Jake had a rough life. His father was a heavy drinker and he didn't take too kindly to the fact that his only son was demon hunting. He beat on Jake regularly. Of course, Adam knew and did what he could to keep Jake away from home. He even tried defending him once, only to earn himself a scar above his right eye. One day, Adam walked in to Jake's room in the Detroit institute to find him standing on a chair with a rope tied around his neck. Before Adam could stop him, Jake jumped, taking his life.
To this day, Adam has nightmares about his lost friend and he has had a hard time getting close to people since then.

You've lived in the Institute for quite some time now. This isn't any regular research institute. It's almost like a school. A school for you kind. You don't belong in the real world and you know it. Your place is protecting it. There's so much out there that humans aren't prepared for. You, on the other hand, have trained your entire life for this. A Shadowhunter they call you. You've learned to embrace the name, just as you embraced the runes on your skin. The marks set you apart from everyone else. They prove to the world that you are not normal. However, this all seemed not to matter much.
You were happy in the institute. You have a strong group of friends who fight alongside you. Help you. Protect you. Your tight little group happens to be what discovered the corruption of the institute. They are warping you. Changing you. You wish to make you into their little monkey slaves. Their androids. They want to change you. You hate being controlled, and choose to rebel. However, rebellions never end without bloodshed. So, you and your friends are planning to take off.
You've always wanted to see the world. But, what will happen when the world sees you?
